Congratulations Adrian Arellano ~ Carson Scholar Recipient!!

One of our very own Hurley Students was recognized this past Saturday at the Chicago Scholar's Awards Banquet! Do you know this student? Perhaps seen him in the hallway? Well, his name is Adrian Arellano and he was recognized for this amazing award because of his academic excellence and humanitarianism.

The 2015 Carson Scholars represent all 50 states and Washington, DC and includes students in grades 4th through 11th.

Adrian is planning on using this scholarship award to study Economics when he goes to college.

Be sure to congratulate this young man when you see him in the hallways and check out the awesome trophy in the main office. We are very proud of you Adrian!
Pasta for Pennies Fundraising at Hurley!

We did it again! Thank you to all the families who were able to contribute to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. The grand total that was raised was $4,548.61. Wow!! Room 305 - Ms. Moran's class, came in 1st Place with the most money donated, followed by Room 304 - Ms. Navarro's class in 2nd Place, Room 306 - Ms. Hinojosa's class in 3rd Place and finally, Room 207 - Mr. Jimenez's class in 4th Place. Congratulations to everyone!!

Young Entrepreneurs Academy

Theresa Victor and Joselyn Quintana were awarded over $840 dollars towards the startup costs for their business ideas last night at the investor panel event for Young Entrepreneurs Academy. Congratulations girls and keep up the great work.
School Expectations for Parents & Students

Hurley's First Student Chilean Delegation

It is with pride that we officially announce the Hurley Student Chilean Delegation: Adrian Arellano, Angel Rios, Hector Medina, Arturo Martinez, Nathalie Rodriguez, Michelle Rodriguez, Luis Moreno, Ivan Aguayo and Alexander Gonzalez. They will travel together to Santiago, Chile on March 27th to visit our partnering school, Colegio Jose Toribio Medina, in our very first student exchange program.

We will hold a small "meet and greet" ceremony on Monday, March 9th, in our school's gym. We invite you to come, meet and wish them well on Monday, from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Hope to see you there!
